We're getting a flag! Iron Jack has been putting his creative skills to work sewing
a flag that is large enough to be a backdrop.  We (very) briefly thought of putting
our cartouche on it but that would have taken too damn long.

Our new flag:
In case you haven't heard, we're back!  We took a well-needed sabbatical and
reorganized, so we're ready to entertain you once more with songs for the drunk
and rowdy!  (Do we sing them in that state?  You be the judge...)

We're now part of the live music line-up at Ye Olde Royal Oak in San Jose - the
second Thursday of each month.  So stop by and say hello!  Iron Jack and Rowdy
Phil say the bangers and mash are the best they've ever had.  Red-Handed Jill is
happy to report there are plenty of items for vegetarians.  And a good beer
selection.

Additionally, in the interest of continuing to expand our repertoire so that we won't
be doing the same songs over and over and boring our audience to tears, we're
looking for historic Irish pub tunes.  If you know of any, or have other requests,
click the red "x" at the top of the page and let us know.
July, 2011
Well, it's been awhile since there's been any sort of update; I keep forgetting to
make a note of what we've been doing.  We've mostly been playing events this
past year.  In fact, this weekend we'll be at the Brookings Harbor Pirate festival -
the headline band, in fact.  (Brookings Harbor is just over the border into Southern
Oregon.)

And as with so many things, change has come to the Scuppers.  Our mandolin
player and good friend Rowdy Phil has decided to up and move to Minnesota.
We're still scratching our heads over this one, but are wishing him well in his new
endeavor.

So over the past several months, we've been joined by our good friend Michel,
AKA Captain Vortex.  He has stepped in as the third Scupper and is doing
marvelously in his new role.   Hopefully you'll be able to hear this for yourself
sometime soon!
